Itinerary

Day 1 - Fes / Ifrane / Ziz Valley / Merzouga Desert

Your 2-Day Fes to Merzouga Desert Tour begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel or riad in Fes. Travel through the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Ifrane, the “Little Switzerland of Morocco,” before continuing to the Cedar Forest of Azrou, where you may encounter the famous Barbary macaques.

Continue to Midelt for a relaxing lunch, then drive through the breathtaking Ziz Valley, renowned for its lush palm groves and panoramic oasis views. By late afternoon, arrive in Merzouga, the gateway to the majestic Erg Chebbi Dunes.

Enjoy an unforgettable camel trek across the golden Sahara as the sun sets, leading you to a traditional Berber desert camp. After a warm welcome, savor a delicious Moroccan dinner, gather around the campfire for live Berber music, and spend a magical night beneath the stars in the heart of the Sahara Desert.

Day 2 - Merzouga / Draa Valley / Ouarzazat / Ait Ben Haddou / Marrakesh

Wake up early to witness one of the highlights of your Sahara adventure—the breathtaking sunrise over the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. After breakfast at the desert camp, you will leave the Sahara and begin your journey back to Marrakech.

Today’s route offers a completely different landscape as we drive through the volcanic mountains, where acacia trees line both sides of the road, creating a unique contrast to the sand dunes. We will then travel through the magnificent Draa Valley, Morocco’s longest valley, famous for its endless palm groves, ancient kasbahs, and traditional Berber villages stretching for more than 200 kilometers.

After passing through Ouarzazate, we will continue across the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass, enjoying several Breaks for the Bathroom and refreshments before arriving back in Marrakech in the evening, where your unforgettable desert tour comes to an end.
