Itinerary
Your journey begins with an early morning pickup from your Riad or hotel in Marrakech. Leave the city behind as you cross the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass, enjoying several stops to admire the breathtaking panoramic views, traditional Berber villages, and dramatic mountain landscapes.
Continue to the legendary Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Morocco’s most famous fortified village. Accompanied by a local guide, explore its narrow alleys and ancient earthen buildings while discovering the history of this remarkable ksar, which has appeared in numerous international films and TV productions.
After lunch at a local restaurant overlooking the kasbah, continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Sahara.” Pass by the iconic Taourirt Kasbah before driving through the Anti-Atlas Mountains and the beautiful Draa Valley, home to one of Morocco’s largest palm groves and countless traditional villages.
Arrive in the Zagora Desert in the late afternoon, where you’ll meet your camel caravan for a memorable ride across the golden dunes as the sun begins to set. Reach your traditional desert camp, where you’ll be welcomed with Moroccan mint tea before enjoying a delicious dinner. Spend the evening around the campfire listening to traditional Berber music beneath a sky filled with stars.

Wake up early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the desert before enjoying breakfast at the camp. Afterwards, ride your camel back or travel by 4×4 to meet your driver and begin the journey towards Ouarzazate.
Upon arrival in Ouarzazate, visit the historic Taourirt Kasbah, one of Morocco’s finest examples of traditional southern architecture and the former residence of the influential Glaoui family. Explore its beautifully preserved rooms, courtyards, and maze-like passageways while discovering its rich history.
Next, continue to the world-famous Atlas Studios, the largest film studio in Africa. Take a guided tour of the impressive movie sets featured in blockbuster productions such as Gladiator, The Mummy, Kingdom of Heaven, Prince of Persia, and many other international films and television series.
After the visits, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before beginning your scenic drive back to Marrakech. Cross the magnificent High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, stopping along the way to admire the panoramic views, take memorable photographs, or relax with a coffee break.
